Please note: these steps are for new accounts in the United States only. If you are interested in selling RoomMates outside of the US, please contact our International Sales department for more information.
First Step: New Account Application For Selling Online
For those looking to sell our products on the web, please fill out our Dealer Interest Form. This will allow us to see if we are a good fit for each other.
Once you have submitted your form, our team will review and respond to you via email, letting you know your status.
First Step: New Account Application For Selling In-Store Only
For those looking to sell our products in stores only, download and complete the application form below to provide us with basic information about your business. Click here to get started and download the new account application form.
Optional: Request a Credit Line
If you would like to establish a line of credit, please fill out the below form along with your application. Credit lines are 30 Days Net and require an opening order over $250 or more. Click here to download the form.
With regards to references: separate reference sheets are allowed, but please fill out the first three sections of this sheet and sign for our records. Be sure that you have net terms with your listed references, and that their phone and fax information is supplied in full.
Second Step: Submit For Review
Dealer Web application forms are submitted via the web. Simply click Submit after you've filled out the online application.
Send your completed and signed in-store application to email@example.com or faxed to (717) 851-0321, ATTN: RoomMates Customer Service.
After your application is reviewed, we will contact you with more information and the required documentation needed to setup your account.
Once approved, please submit the following documents:
State Resale Certificate
If you are interested in drop shipping from our vast line of products, please be advised if approved you will need to supply us with a resale certificate for all states you are planning on drop shipping to.
It is mandatory that you supply us with the following State Sales Tax numbers for the following states. Please note a form is not required for Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon.
- The state that your are located in for billing
- New Jersey
- New York
- Any additional states you may have a Sales Tax number in
Please complete the attached Multi-State Sales & Use Certificate. Click here to download the form. In most states applying is free and the process is simple. There are a few states that do not require a sales tax number, but the link will let you know what the state requirements are.
If you plan on stocking product, we will only need the Sales Tax number for the state(s) we are shipping your product to.
Online Sales & Our MAP Policy
If you are approved to sell RoomMates products online, you must review RoomMates Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy, as well as abide by our overseas sales policy on licensed items. Please download the agreement below. Failure to adhere to the policy could result in account suspension.
As of December 31, 2018, RoomMates does not permit retailers to resell current and active products on any online marketplaces including Amazon, Ebay and Walmart. Discontinued items are permitted to be sold on online marketplaces.
RoomMates does permit and encourage retailers to resell its products on company-owned websites, as long as the retailer respects the Internet MAP policy. Any and all RoomMates products purchased by retailers are subject to this policy.
Final Step: Submit All Required Documentation
You've completed your state resale certificate, credit request, and MAP agreement (if applicable). Please email all documents to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to (717) 851-0321, ATTN: RoomMates Customer Service. Once your account is setup, we will contact you with more information or any questions we may have. Pricing and your order form will also be emailed to you at this time. We aim to set up credit card accounts within 72 hours; Net 30 accounts may take longer as we must wait for references to respond.
