Wall Stickers - Peel and Stick Decals
If you’re shopping for wall decals, you may wonder why some manufacturers offer transfer type wall decals while others – like RoomMates – sell peel and stick decals. What’s the difference? We’ll be happy to tell you!
Transfer decals come in three pieces: paper backing, decal, and transfer material. To apply them, you remove the backing, leaving the decal on the transfer material. The sheet of transfer is then pressed to the wall and rubbed all over with a credit card or applicator. Then the top layer is peeled away, leaving the decal on the wall. Although this is great for detailed or intricate designs, the resulting decal can’t be repositioned, and may not always remove cleanly.
Peel and stick wall decals, like those we sell here at RoomMates, come in two pieces: the decal and the liner. To apply, you simply peel the decal off the sheet and stick it to the wall. That’s it. Much simpler, right? If you’re working on a really detailed design, you’ll find that we print them on a special clear material, so they still look great on the wall but aren’t flimsy. And really big designs go together in multiple pieces like a puzzle, so you can avoid large elements sticking together and potentially getting ruined.

They’re easy to use, inexpensive, and can even be removed and repositioned.
