A Dream Dollhouse for Three Lucky Girls

RoomMates customer Roy recently sent us some photos of a project he took on for his three daughters, ages 8, 5, and 3. As always, I’m impressed by what he did using our wall decals… but in this case, I’m way more excited to share the life-sized “dollhouse” he built!

Roy created a custom bunkbed that is accented by our Scroll Tree MegaPack and Flower Stripe giant wall decals. This is what he wrote us about this project:

The bunkbed was my attempt at building a life-size Lalaloopsy dollhouse, for which my girls are big fans.  But my wife and I agreed not to overkill the room with Lalaloopsy, and the Scroll Tree and Flower Stripes made the perfect match.

Here are some of the photos. Prepare to be amazed!

Isn’t this fantastic?! Roy built this dollhouse by hand, and it really does look like a magical hideaway from the Lalaloopsy world. All the little details come together to make something extra special. I completely agree with the thought of not “overdoing it” with the Lalaloopsy theme, especially since his daughters could change their minds and want a different theme in a few months. The bedding and wall decals really come together to help make this project really special.

Roy wrote us a little bit specifically about the role RoomMates played in this project, and how his daughters helped:

My girls had a blast placing the wall decals, with my help of course.  Using the Scroll Tree MegaPack and Happi Scroll Branch, I was able to extend the tree onto three walls.  I placed the trunk and branches while my girls placed the leaves, flowers, and animals.  We later added the Flower Stripes to bring more life into the bunkbed.

The RoomMates wall decals added that extra “wow” factor to complete the room.  This is truly a great product.

Here are a few more photos — I couldn’t help but want to share them all!

I realize I’m a little too old for a bunkbed in a dollhouse… but I’m actually kind of envious of Roy’s daughters! This is a wonderful project and I’m so happy RoomMates was able to play a part in it. Thanks to Roy and his family for sharing their photos and thoughts with us — we are so happy to be able to now share them with our readers, too.
